The Monte Moro Pass
The Monte Moro Pass (2,868 m) is a mountain pass that connects the Italian Alpine valley Anzasca with Switzerland Saas Valley. The pass was already known in Roman times. It had great importance for centuries for the communicate between Alpine valleys. The pass was also used for Walser people movements from the Swiss to the Italian valleys. Today, the pass can be reached via cableway from Macugnaga, Macugnaga-Bill-Monte Moro Pass, and is included in the hiking trail of the Tour of Monte Rosa
